PRAISES BUSH NOMINATION
OF TERRY NEESE AS U.S. MINT DIRECTOR
Dallas,
Texas (August 1, 2005) -- The National Business Association (NBA) today praises
President George W. Bush's nomination of Terry Neese, a member of the NBA's Board
of Director's, as Director of the Mint at the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
She is a national small business advocate and co-founder of Women Impacting Public
Policy, the nation's largest bi-partisan women's business group that serves as
the public policy voice for 33 business organizations including the NBA.

behalf of our membership, we congratulate Terry Neese on her recent nomination.
She has been one of our country's key players in developing good sound policies
for small businesses that strengthen our economy and she has provided strong leadership
and direction to the National Business Association. President Bush has chosen
an excellent steward of our nation's assets. As a mentor to thousands of successful
business men and women, we are proud of her professional qualities that have brought

Terry
Neese was appointed to the NBA Board of Directors in 2003 and serves on the U.S.
Small Business Administration's Small Business Advisory Council and the National
Women's Business Council, which advises the President and Congress on economic
issues of importance to women business owners. She was also previously appointed
by President George Herbert Walker Bush to the National Advisory Council on Indian
Education.
In 1975, she founded Oklahoma City-based
Terry Neese Personnel Services where she continues to serve as Chairman.
The
United States Mint is a key arm of the Treasury Department. The Mint's primary
mission is to produce an adequate volume of circulating coinage for the country's
trade and commerce. Annual production varies between 11 million and 20 million
coins, with production facilities located in Denver, Philadelphia, San Francisco
and West Point.
Terry Neese's appointment
is now pending before the U.S. Senate for confirmation. Hearings will be conducted
by the Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee. Upon Senate confirmation
as Director of the U.S. Mint, Terry Neese will then serve on the President's economic
team.
