Basically, instead of sending out your usual mailing
and advertisements, try something else -- while still using your
usual marketing techniques. Don't stop that.
With the holidays upon us, how about taking your
clients out for a drink, a meal a party or a get-together?
The personal contact is an excellent way of bonding
and along with your usual marketing and promotional techniques,
this is a true customer pleaser.
Let your clients and customers know that you care.
Sure you send a gift basket at Christmas, but how
about doing something more personal. Something they will remember.
If you run a business with many customers, too
many to take out one-on-one or in small groups, how about setting
up a day for a small customer appreciation party? Have finger foods
and drinks and invite all of your clients and customers. Show them
that you care and appreciate them.
Have an open house. Invite all of your friends,
clients and prospects to a full day open house at your business
or even a rented-out space. Allow them to pop in any time of the
day for some holiday cheer.
For larger organizations with many base clients
like realtors or attorneys, cocktail parties or holiday parties
are the best. The parties are appreciated and remembered throughout
the year. For the small business owner, there is no reason you cannot
celebrate the season with your own clients in a similar fashion.
